CAREERS INTERVIEWS
All students in the last year of statutory education (year 10-11) will have the opportunity for a one to one careers interview.
Parents are welcome to attend.SIXTH FORM & OTHER YEAR GROUPS
Year 11 students can request a careers appointments at anytime.
Students in other years may be referred by school staff or request an interview.A Careers Service meeting the needs of students in the 21st Century
With over 85,000 degrees at university and the jobs market constantly changing young people need lots of up to date information and support to make sense of it all.

During the careers interview we will explore the student’s level of ability and expected grades.
Outside interests
Other things discussed in the interview can include other factors such as hobbies, sports, likes and dislikes. These can have an influence on education and career choices.
Realistic
We all want students to aim high and have ambitions. However, it is also important to get the facts about grades, skills and abilities.. A student must be realistic about the reality of their ability to achieve the grades required for some professions.
The Careers Adviser will advise about all level of courses. THis can start for the student with no expected GCSE grades to the high achievers.
